SMB International is pleased that you visit our website. We are highly committed to protecting your personal data. Below please find information on the purposes for which SMB International uses your data. Should you have any further questions, please contact us at infosmb-group.de or the data protection commissioner (see point 6).

1. Personal data

Personal data within the meaning of Directive 95/46/EG (Data Protection Directive) and the relevant German data protection regulations (especially BDSG and TMG) are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person (data subject), e.g. your name, your address, your e-mail address, your date of birth, etc.

2. Collection and use of data

Principle of anonymous processing

Unless stated otherwise in the paragraphs below, as a general rule no personal data are collected, processed or used when visiting our website. When you access our website, information such as the type of browser used, the page from which the file was requested, the name of the file, date and time of the request, data volume transmitted and access status (file transmitted, file not found) is transmitted anonymously. We evaluate such anonymous information for statistical purposes only in order to improve the attractiveness, contents and functionality of our website. Access logging by our web server has been fully deactivated.
By using Google Analytics, however, we obtain certain technical information by means of the data transmitted by your browser (e.g. browser type/version, operating system used, web pages visited including duration of stay, previously visited websites). This information is evaluated for statistical purposes only.

Collection, processing and passing on of personal data

Otherwise, we collect personal data (e.g. name, e-mail address) only if you actively let us know such data, e.g. in a contact form or by e-mail.
Subsequent processing takes place only for the purposes for which the data have been collected. If further processing purposes are intended, you will explicitly be informed of this when entering the data and may be asked for your consent. If this relates to communication channels (e.g. e-mail address, phone number), you also consent to us contacting you via this communication channel to answer your request.

We will store and process your personal data without your express consent only if this is necessary to fulfil a contract, perform a service or comply with legal requirements. In this context, it may also be necessary to pass on your personal data to companies we use for this purpose, e.g. transport companies, service providers or other services. Data will be transmitted to government institutions and authorities that are entitled to receive such information only within the scope of our statutory duties to provide information or if we are obliged by a court decision to provide information.
As soon as the purpose for which the data are stored no longer applies, your data will be erased.

We use cookies for statistical evaluation. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer by your web browser when you open a web page. They are not personal data. We use this cookie technology to tailor our web pages to preferred fields of interest. If you do not want this, all you need to do is to deactivate the acceptance of cookies in your browser. Most web browsers are generally set to accept cookies but provide the possibility to disable cookies or to send a warning before the storage.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and be truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use such information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide further services associated with the use of the website and with Internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by making a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, we advise you that, in this case, you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent the data generated by the cookie and associated with your use of the website (including your IP address) from being transferred to Google and from being processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
